2. HOW TO ENTER:

No Purchase Necessary.  To receive one entry into the Contest, visit the Contest website, www.juniorhockeymagazine.ca, between January 13, 2017 at 12 p.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) and May 6, 2017 at 11:59:59 p.m. ET (the “Contest Period”) and enter your name, email address and phone number, and correctly answer the weekly trivia question.  On the Friday of each week during the Contest Period, a new trivia question will be posted on the Contest website.  There is a limit of one entry per individual per trivia question.

All entries, regardless of the method of entry, become the property of the Sponsor, will not be acknowledged or returned, and will be destroyed following the complete fulfilment of the Grand Prize. The decisions of the Sponsor with respect to all aspects of this Contest are final and binding on all entrants without right of appeal, including, without limitation, any decisions regarding the eligibility/disqualification of entries and/or entrants.

All entries are subject to verification at any time. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to require proof of identity and/or eligibility (in a form acceptable to the Sponsor – including, without limitation, government issued photo identification) to participate in this Contest. Failure to provide such proof to the satisfaction of the Sponsor in a timely manner may result in disqualification. The sole determinant of the time for the purposes of a valid entry in this Contest will be the Sponsor’s official clock.

3. GRAND PRIZE:

There is one (1) Grand Prize available to be won, consisting of a round-trip, economy class, air transportation for the Grand Prize Winner and one (1) travelling companion (the “Guest”) on an airline designated by the Sponsor departing from the Canadian international airport closest to the Grand Prize Winner’s place of residence in Canada on May 27, 2017, to the Windsor International Airport; return ground transfers between the Windsor International Airport and the hotel designated by the Sponsor; accommodation for two (2) nights, May 27 and 28, 2017, for two (2) persons in one (1) standard room (double occupancy) at the hotel designated by the Sponsor; two (2) tickets to the 2017 Mastercard Memorial Cup Championship Game in Windsor (ticket location within arena to be determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion), currently scheduled to take place on May 28, 2017; and $500 in spending money in the form of Mastercard prepaid card (s).  The Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to designate all flight particulars and route or routes (as the case may be).  Sponsor is not responsible for any delay, postponement or cancellation, for any reason, of any event(s), exhibit(s), or attraction(s) forming part of the Grand Prize, including the Championship Game.  Approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is $5,000 but may be higher depending on the point of departure.

If the Guest is not of the age of majority in his/her province/territory of residence at the time of departure, the Grand Prize Winner must be the parent or legal guardian of the Guest. The Grand Prize must be accepted as awarded without substitution and is not transferable or redeemable for cash or allowed to be sold.  No change in travelling arrangements can be made once the booking has been confirmed. Guest must depart from the same airport and on the same itinerary as the Grand Prize Winner. Sponsor has the right to substitute the prizes in whole or in part in the event that all or any of the components of the Grand Prize is unavailable. If the Grand Prize Winner (and/or the Guest) is unable to travel on the date and time determined, the Grand Prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected and no compensation or alternative prize will be offered or provided.

The Potential Grand Prize Winner and the Guest must: (1) have valid travel documents (including government issued photo identification); and (2) be able to travel between May 27, 2017 and May 29, 2017, or forfeit the Grand Prize.  This travel period cannot be modified under any circumstances and no change will be permitted to travel dates or passenger names once the Grand Prize travel booking has been confirmed by the Sponsor.  There are no deviations to travel allowed (i.e. length of stay, number of Guests, flight stopovers, travel dates, etc.).

NOT INCLUDED IN PRIZE:  The Grand Prize does not include anything not explicitly set forth in the Grand Prize description above, including without limitation: additional ground or other transportation not expressly included above, car rentals, personal and miscellaneous expenses of any kind for the Grand Prize Winner and/or the  Guest, expenses for any kind of personal, medical, health, hospital and trip cancellation insurance, airport or other taxes and fees, gratuities, excess baggage fees, import charges, communication charges, meals, beverages (alcoholic or otherwise), sightseeing, entrance, admission or other fees or any costs or expenses of or related to the obtaining of necessary travel documents (including, without limitation, any cost or costs of notarization). The cost of return travel by the Grand Prize Winner and the Guest between the Canadian international airport closest to the Grand Prize Winner’s residence and the Grand Prize Winner’s residence is solely the responsibility of the Grand Prize Winner and the Guest.

4. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION:

On May 7, 2017 (the “Draw Date”), at approximately 12:00 p.m. at the Sponsor’s offices at 65 Shuter St, Suite 133, Toronto, Ontario M5B 1B2, one (1) eligible entrant will be selected by random draw as the potential Grand Prize Winner. The confirmed Grand Prize Winner will be announced on May 13, 2017 on the Contest website.  Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received in accordance with these Rules.

The Sponsor or its designated representative will make a minimum of three (3) attempts to contact the selected entrant by email or telephone within three (3) days of the Draw Date. If the selected entrant cannot be contacted within three (3) days of the Draw Date, or there is a return of any notification as undeliverable; then he/she will be disqualified (and forfeit all rights to his/her prize) and the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to randomly select an alternate eligible entrant from among the remaining eligible entries received in accordance with these Rules (in which case the foregoing provisions of this section shall apply to such new selected entrant). For greater certainty and the avoidance of any doubt, the Sponsor does not have the obligation to select an alternate eligible winner.

 5. WINNER CONFIRMATION:

Prior to being declared the confirmed Grand Prize Winner, the selected entrant will be required to: (i) correctly answer a time-limited, mathematical, skill-testing question (without electronic, mechanical or other assistance); and (ii) sign and submit the Sponsor’s declaration and release within three (3) days of being contacted, which (among other things): (a) confirms compliance with these Rules; (b) acknowledges acceptance of the prize as awarded; and (c) releases the Contest Parties from any and all liability in connection with this Contest, his/her participation therein and/or the awarding and use/misuse of the Grand Prize. If the selected entrant: (a) fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question; (b) fails to submit the properly executed Contest documents within the required time period; and/or (c) cannot accept a prize for any reason, then he/she will be disqualified (and will forfeit all rights to the Grand Prize), and the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to randomly select an alternate eligible entrant.

6. PRIVACY:

By participating in this Contest, you are giving consent to the Sponsor to obtain and use, as well as deliver, your name, address, and other information to the Contest administrators, if any, only for the purpose of administering this Contest. Sponsor and/or its agents may obtain other personally identifiable information about you only in the event that you are a winner in accordance with these Rules.  Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of a prize constitutes Grand Prize Winner's consent to Sponsor's and its agents' use of his/her name, likeness, photograph, voice, opinions and/or city/province of residence for advertising and promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without payment or consideration. You may be required to sign a document confirming your consent to this effect.  For clarity, personal information will not be shared with any other affiliates or third parties and will be destroyed following complete fulfilment of the Grand Prize.

The Sponsor reserves the right, to cancel or suspend this Contest, or to amend these Rules, without prior notice or obligation, in the event of any accident, printing, administrative, or other error of any kind, or for any other reason.
